Join Us in Bringing a Story of Legacy to Life
On November 6, 2025, at the historic Carolina Theatre, we will premiere a powerful new documentary that celebrates service, sacrifice, and the transformative power of music. This event is more than just a film debut—it’s the culmination of a 50-state journey and a heartfelt tribute to our nation’s veterans. We are currently seeking sponsors to help bring this incredible night to life. Your support will not only make this premiere possible, but it will also align your business with a mission that inspires, uplifts, and heals. We’d be honored to have your business be part of the magic as we share this moving story with the world.
About The Documentary
From January to May 2023, performance duo Letters From Home toured all 50 states, bringing their heartfelt tribute shows to audiences nationwide. Filmmaker Jack Walterman accompanied them to capture the journey, and a documentary—currently in post-production under director Dan Beckmann—is now in the works.
This powerful film, with the working title Legacy: The Story of Letters From Home, follows the six-person team on a four-month road trip, blending concert footage, behind-the-scenes moments, and personal storytelling.
At its heart is Erinn Dearth, inspired by her Vietnam-era Coast Guard veteran father to create a group honoring veterans through performance. What began as a local Andrews Sisters tribute has evolved into a national movement of gratitude and connection.
Since joining in 2018, filmmaker and cast member Dan Beckmann has brought humor, depth, and emotional insight to Letters From Home. His direction aims to inspire audiences with a message of legacy, community, and the ripple effect of kindness.
We believe this documentary can reach tens of thousands with its message of hope and healing—especially for our Vietnam-era veterans. But we need your help. Filmmaking is costly, and your support will ensure this uplifting story reaches the screen and the hearts of viewers everywhere.
Letters From Home is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations are tax-deductible. Join us in bringing this film to life.
